A joint committee comprising officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Health was appointed on Thursday(03) to take immediate steps to reopen the airport to tourists.The relevant committee met within a week and decided to update the guidelines already prepared and take further steps accordingly.
Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Minister of State Sudarshini Fernandopulle, Director General of Health and other health officials and heads of institutions including the Secretary, Ministry of Tourism were participated in this discussion.
