The Minister of Industrial Export, Investment Promotion, Tourism and Aviation, Hon. Prasanna Ranatunga has stressed that financial institutions are sabotaging the relief given to the people due to the Covid -19 epidemic and that prompt action should be taken against such financial institutions.

Minister Prasanna Ranatunga further stated that those reliefs should be given to people by removing those who do not serve the country or people from their respective posts. He also said that the people are accusing the government of the conduct of financial institutions including the Central Bank.

The Minister made this observation at a media briefing in Colombo today (17).
