Asian Bishops' Conference in Sri Lanka
A cheque for Rs. 10 million was handed over to the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka to be used towards hosting the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conference from the 28th of November to the 4th of December in Negombo.
The Minister of Tourism Development, Lands and Christian Religious Affairs John Amaratunga and Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake jointly presented the cheque to His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith at Archbishop’s House in Colombo this morning.
